Call for Abstracts

The Saudi Arabian Section of the Combustion Institute (SAS-CI) is pleased to announce the 15 th SAS-CI Annual Conference, to be held on October 19–20, 2025, at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. This year’s program will focus on the theme “Fuels and Fire Safety for Energy Transition”, addressing the critical role of combustion science in supporting a safer and more sustainable energy future.

The conference will bring together professionals from academia, industry, and government for plenary lectures, technical sessions, panel discussions, and a poster session highlighting emerging trends and major research achievements.

We welcome extended abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations in areas including (but not limited to):

  • Fire safety in hydrogen, ammonia, and lithium-ion battery systems
  • Design and mitigation strategies for fire hazards in evolving energy systems
  • Combustion for future and sustainable fuels
  • Turbulent combustion modelling and simulation
  • Applications of AI and machine learning in combustion and fire safety
  • Experimental and numerical studies in fundamental and advanced combustion
    research.

We look forward to your contributions. For more information or any inquiries, please contact The Saudi Arabia Section of Combustion Institute at: SA.Comb.Inst@gmail.com.
